Need help with Countdown Chameleon? Start with the FAQ below, or reach out directly.
All countdowns are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your data stays private and offline.
If you used the Backup feature (found in the theme menu) before switching devices, you can restore your deck from that backup file. If you didn't back up beforehand, unfortunately locally-stored data can't be recovered once the app is removed.
Open the theme picker (the chameleon icon), scroll to the bottom, and tap "Backup Deck." This saves a file to your device that you can restore later using "Restore Deck."
This can happen if a link is opened in a different browser or app than the one you normally use. For best results, open shared countdown links in your default browser, or paste the link directly into that browser's address bar.
Yes — once loaded, the app works fully offline. An internet connection is only needed the first time you load it, or when using the Share feature to send a countdown to someone else.
